ABOUT THE COURSE
A beautiful and challenging course awaits you in 2020! #TriBermuda for the first time!
Bermuda has a stunning course for Amateur Age Group racers. Here's what athletes have said about it in past years.
“The bike course was one of the best I have done”
“Beautiful course, friendly people, so many spectators”
“The course is stunning. Loved it all.”
The race is on Saturday April 18, 2020 and World Triathlon Bermuda Weekend starts on Thursday April 16 with a Family Fun Run & Walk, a beach party and a Kids Duathlon on Friday.
Starting and ending in Bermuda’s vibrant capital city, Hamilton, competitors will first swim in the crystal blue waters of Hamilton Harbour, then bike through hilly terrain and finish with the run alongside candy-coloured buildings on city streets. Hamilton's central location offers great viewing for spectators and several significant technical challenges for athletes.
Corkscrew! One of the highlights of the bike course is the challenge of pumping up Corkscrew Hill. This is a short, steep hill with hairpin curves; it's the signature challenge of the course, yet still very achievable. Test yourself with Corkscrew. Our bike experts recommend a 25-28 cassette for your bike on this one.
